Many other hearing aid dispensers will merely program your hearing aids using the manufacturer’s suggested prescription for someone with a hearing loss similar to yours, without tuning or adjusting the instruments as needed to improve your hearing experience. However, this should only be the starting point!  Since each person has very specific needs depending on his or her level of hearing loss, speech intelligibility loss, and cognitive capacity, a proficient dispenser can make a substantial difference.
